Prior to co-founding Petersen Wong, Mr. Petersen worked as an Investment Banker with Lerota Capital doing mostly M&A and debt financing deals in the technology and government services sectors.  Before beginning his tenure at Lerota, Mr. Petersen had gained over 20 years of experience as head of finance in start-up and early-stage companies, as well as divisions of major firms. 

As a CFO, some of his major accomplishments include raising VC funding for NameTree, ClearingFactory and Warson as well as leading the TABNet acquisition by VERIO.  Mr. Petersen also served as the Director of Finance for the SPACEWAY business unit of Hughes Electronics where he successfully coordinated and arranged a multinational finance facility for the Asia-Pacific system and secured tax incentives for the company from foreign governments. 

As head of finance at American Mobile Satellite Corporation, he is credited with leading the successful IPO of the company, as well as spearheading major projects including the FCC filing for and initial formation of XM Satellite Radio.  Mr. Petersen completed his MA in Economics from the University of Maryland.

Mr. Wong co-founded Petersen Wong after working as an Investment Banker with Lerota Capital where he specialized in buy-side engagements with Private Equity firms and Hedge Funds. 

Mr. Wong began his career as a member of the Price Waterhouse Emerging Business Practice in Southern California where he advised a wide range of middle market companies on growth strategies and consulted on numerous acquisitions and divestitures. After leaving Price Waterhouse, he worked with Walt Disney, Hughes Electronics and Lockheed Martin gaining extensive corporate finance experience in the areas of M&A, corporate restructuring and strategic partnering.

In addition to his corporate finance background, he has had business unit experience launching several media ventures. In that capacity, his efforts were critical in securing strategic investors. Mr. Wong received his MBA from the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Daniel Dzamba
Sr. Vice President

Prior to joining the Petersen Wong team, Mr Dzamba held senior marketing and product management positions with AT&T, General Electric and Astrolink, a joint venture led by Lockheed Martin and Liberty Media. He has extensive experience in the areas of broadband data, e-messaging, satellite and content delivery services, and has been responsible for product development, and managing key global accounts. In addition, he is the Managing Director and co-founder of Morrisville Square, LLC, which owns and develops commercial properties in the Southeastern US. 

Mr Dzamba earned his BA in International Economics from the School of International Service at American University and has completed extensive Executive MBA coursework at Thunderbird University and INSEAD.

John T. GwynnJohn T. Gwynn

Mr. Gwynn brings practical experience from the medical device sector as well as the satellite communications industry.  Prior to joining the company, Mr. Gwynn served as CFO and Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Advanced Bionics, a manufacturer and global distributor of medical devices.  Earlier, as Vice President of Telecom Services at PanAmSat, a global telecommunications company, he led teams that provided video, data, and voice services to domestic and international customers. 

Prior to joining PanAmSat in 1998, Mr. Gwynn held various marketing, business development, and finance positions with Hughes Communications.  He earned a B. S. degree with highest honors from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1977, a M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1984, and a M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1986.
